Pointers: Try to keep it to 3-4 sentences so a reader could get the general gist of how your love story came to be.

Things to include: How and where you met? (first impressions?) How old you were? How did it evolve or become official? (any juicy details) How it led to a proposal / how long you were together for/ any interesting or unique details about your wedding?

LD: We met and became friends through church as 16 year olds where I used to joke around calling Mark my younger brother (as he is actually slightly younger than me). A year later after I was involved in a horrific car accident we began to spend a lot of time together while I recovered from my injuries and strong feelings began to develop. After a few months Mark asked me out at a youth camp while we were sitting on the top of my brother’s car (he had already called my parents and asked for permission too, cute!). Four years later we started our forever under a big oak tree and celebrated the evening away with our loved ones by the sea. He was my first boyfriend, first kiss, and first and only love!

MD: Lauren and I met through youth group at church when we were 16. While Lauren was recovering from an accident, we began organising a surprise birthday party for a friend which turned into hours on the phone, just talking and laughing - I thought she was hands down the funniest person I had ever met. A few months later we were going on the same youth camp, so on the first night I asked her out without knowing how she actually felt about me. I made her wait three months to share our first kiss so it could be under the stars in the pouring rain, After dating for four years I asked her to marry me down at our favourite beach cafe. Nine months later, we were married under an oak tree in Hawthorn.
